10 week challenge winner - Karen!

I have been a member of Bodyblast for a number of years and have enjoyed challenges in the past to keep me on track however after a summer of indulgence (which included going on a cruise, eating and drinking a lot), I joined their 10 Week challenge to get my nutrition back on track.

The delicious and easy-to-make recipes provided by Cherie and Kate helped me stay committed to healthier eating habits (with a couple of ‘fun foods’ thrown in). Understanding my daily protein needs and keeping a food diary to meet those goals has been both educational and rewarding and something I will continue. My exercise routine at the gym remained consistent throughout the challenge, with 5-6 sessions per week. This consistency played a crucial role in my overall progress.

As well as regular gym sessions, I took on the MyHeartMarathon challenge and exceeded my initial goal of 42km, walking over 100km in May. Encouragement from Cherie and Kate to continue this in June and beyond, with weekly updates in my support group chat, motivated me to keep up with my walking routine and now if I don’t get out for a walk each day I get grumpy!

My achievements and learnings in nutrition and exercise during this challenge have now become ingrained habits. This mindset shift towards being Fit4Life reflects my dedication to maintaining a healthy lifestyle beyond the challenge period and I know the group based class programme run at Bodyblast will keep me strong and fit!

Having the support of Cherie and Kate throughout the challenge was crucial in keeping me motivated and accountable. Their guidance helped all of the challenge participants on track and striving towards our goals.

Overall, the Body Blast challenge has been a transformative experience for me, leading to sustainable changes in my lifestyle, I had many healthy habits but this helped nail down the final few I needed support with.

By continuing my walking challenge, gym routine and maintaining my newfound nutrition habits, I am now set up for long-term success in health and fitness.

“The Body Blast motto is ‘We never said it would be easy, we said it would be worth it’. Was it worth it – hell yes!!”
